Mountain man
Character design for Sam Nielson's painting class. I wanted to do something less than a normal generic hero. Here is what I came up with. The first is a dressed a little too busy with a boring pose and the revision might be a little too plainly dressed. Let me know what you think. Enjoy!

Yeah, add some animal pelts with claws and wood-carved beads or something to the second one and that may help.
His beard freaking rocks, though.
The second one definitely looks cooler. His beard, as Laura said, does indeed rock. But I do miss all the fang necklace.
Yeah I like the 2nd one better too. But the dude's clothes in the first one don't bother me. I like that look. Anyway, I don't know anything about that. Miss you!

Hey Jesse. Just stumbled onto your blog. Love it. I like the revision, and I actually think that the simple look is pretty great. It should look better with some contrasting colors. Rock on!
